Biological Pillar
They are all dancing on the island singing a song of what they do daily and how they live. Everybody lives differently this connects to biological bases of behavior because not everybody lives on a island and doesn't leave everybody does something differently because of a reason. They are sitting on this island because they are scared to leave it, if the children were not informed of what is outside of the waters they would probably leave the island and explore, this sets their behavior for their life, unless they want to overcome that fear witch many don't.
Cognition Pillar
Moana enters the cavern where all the boats are kept in hiding and she discovers her peoples true nature. She discovers some ritual that shows her what her people have done over time, that her and her people are voyagers and she decides to leave the island with those boats. This relates to memory and cognition because as soon as Moana seen the boats and the story behind her people she realized that it was possible to leave the island because she seen it happen. She was more confident in herself seeing it be done before other than saying you cant leave.
Life Span Development and Learning Pillar
The grandmother was teaching the children all about the seas and the demons in the sea. All the children are sitting down and the grandmother is telling them stories about their beliefs and traditions. The children are being informed of what the people on the island "know" and then the cycle continues on and on, and nobody wonders out of the island to figure out what is really out there. This is putting them in a life that they will never leave because they are scared to leave.
Social and Personality Pillar
Moana goes into the water and try's to grab a sea shell and the water moves clearing a path for her to walk. Moana felt something in that moment that told her to go into the water and go towards the sea shell, and only Moana did it. Moana knew what would happen when she went to reach for the sea shell, this is connecting to personality development, she knew herself earlier than most.
Mental and Physical Health
Moana's father does not allow anybody to leave past the reef because he lost a friend a while ago and doesn't want it to happen again. His mental health and physical health is being affected by what happened in his past, he's not allowing anybody to leave the island only because something that has happened to him and nobody else. Their mental and physical activity's are stuck on that island and they don't ever wonder outside of the barriers. This limits their Health and Physical activity's to only that island and they don't experience anything else.
